Getting your name out there

Everyone understands that getting your name out there is the most important part of growing a business. But how do you is the question many cannot answer. In this series, we are going to look at different methods individually.  The focus will be affordable and easy online methods of attracting more customers to your business. Today we will start with Social Media.

Social Media

Social Media is a great way to get your name out there it is free to sign-up and is relatively cheap if you choose to advertise on. While it never hurts to have a platform on all Social Medias prioritizing is important. For instance, a new clothing store would want to take advantage of sites such as Instagram whereas that should not be such a high priority for say an attorney’s office.

Getting followers is great and obviously gets your name out there but it does not always translate to sales. People especially the younger generations tend to follow or like just about everything that comes across their page so you want to be sure whoever is running your Social Medias accounts has a plan on how to stand out and target your desired audience.

Paid advertising is also an option and relatively cheap on Social Medias. Facebook, for example, can run ad campaigns similar to Google Adwords as well as campaigns to help you get followers. Knowing which Social Media to use for paid advertisement is crucial. I will be writing a more in-depth blog in regards to that.
